Fractional CFO in Coventry, West Midlands

SF Partners are supporting a prestigious charity in the recruitment of a fractional CFO (1-day per week). The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight, supporting the charity's financial sustainability, effective governance and delivery of its charitable objectives. Working closely with the CEO and Board of Trustees, the Fractional CFO will ensure sound financial management, informed decision-making and long-term financial resilience.

Key tasks:

- Support Chapter and COO to move to 3 year budgeting cycle.
- Work with the COO to maintain and develop financial sustainability and identify exposure to risk.
- Provide oversight and guidance to the finance team and support COO in the day to day leadership of the team.
- Work with the Chair of the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee to prepare for and support the meetings of that committee.
- Monitor Chapter's finances and cashflow throughout the year and alert Chapter if any difficulties are likely.
- Ensure that a system of sound financial controls / financial admin procedures are in place, maintained and reviewed.
- Be the main contact with the auditors and ensure smooth completion of the annual end of year audit process.
-Periodically review all invested funds and reserves held by Chapter and report on possible management and spending approach.
