- Previous experience working within freight forwarding or logistics
- Experience working in import or export operations
- Experience with air freight, road freight or sea freight
- Good knowledge of the freight forwarding process and documentation
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Coordinate and manage import and/or export shipments from start to finish
- Arrange bookings with airlines, shipping lines, hauliers, and other transport providers
- Prepare and process shipping and customs documentation
- Monitor shipments and provide customers with regular updates
- Liaise with overseas agents, customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
- Ensure shipments are delivered within agreed timescales
- Track and resolve any operational issues or delays
- Ensure all shipment information is accurately entered into internal systems
- Assist with customs clearance an compliance requirements where required
- Obtain and check freight rates and liaise with suppliers
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and service providers
- Ensure all shipments are handled in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations
