French Teacher

The Supply Register are recruiting on behalf of Rugeley John Taylor School for a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join their secondary team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic MFL teacher to inspire and engage students across Key Stage 3, fostering a love of languages and developing students' confidence in French.

Position: French Teacher
Key Stage: KS3
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time (to be confirmed)

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality French lessons to students across Key Stage 3, creating a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages participation, curiosity and achievement.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an ambitious curriculum and help students develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in French.

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective French lessons for KS3 students.
• Create a positive classroom environment that supports learning and progression.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• Promote a passion for languages and cultural awareness.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and achievement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider aims of the department and school.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching French within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Modern Foreign Languages.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire young people.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
