Functional Skills Maths & English Tutor in North West

Are you an experienced Functional Skills Tutor looking for a 3-day working week?
We’re recruiting two Functional Skills Maths & English Tutors to support apprentices across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
Both positions are Monday to Wednesday, delivering Functional Skills Maths and English through a combination of training-centre and workplace-based sessions.
The role:
- Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English to apprentices
- Support learners towards their required qualifications
- Deliver a mixture of centre-based and workplace sessions
- Carry out initial and diagnostic assessments
- Provide individual support where required
- Prepare learners for Functional Skills assessments/exams
- Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records
What we're looking for:
- Previous Functional Skills Maths & English teaching experience
- Level 3 teaching qualification
- Good understanding of Functional Skills qualifications and assessment
- Ability to engage learners with different abilities and confidence levels
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Experience working with apprentices would be advantageous
There are two positions available, with some flexibility around which training centre you are based from depending on where you live.
