We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Garage Manager in Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced automotive professional to lead a busy Autocentre within a well-established national network. The Garage Manager position offers a rewarding environment where leadership, customer service, and operational efficiency are highly valued.

  • Competitive salary of £40,000 plus potential bonuses of up to £10,000 per annum, with higher earning opportunities for proactive Garage Managers
  • 48-hour working week, Monday to Saturday, with flexible working patterns
  • Outstanding bonus scheme, with average bonus earnings approximately £10,000 annually and some achieving over £25,000

Duties include:
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve and exceed branch targets
  • Maintain high standards of customer service, representing the company professionally
  • Manage daily operations to maximise profitability and efficiency
  • Oversee workflow, stock control, and financial transactions ensuring security and accuracy
  • Ensure a clean, organised work environment adhering to company standards
  • Foster positive relationships with customers to promote repeat business
  • Coordinate staff activities and provide support to ensure operational excellence
  • Monitor branch performance and implement improvement strategies
Requirements for the role:
  • Proven experience as a Garage Manager, Autocentre Manager, or similar leadership role within an automotive or fast-fit environment
  • Strong team leadership and effective communication skills
  • Customer-focused with excellent service delivery skills
  • Knowledge of automotive repair processes and workshop management
  • Ability to drive sales, improve operational performance, and lead by example
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and determined to succeed
