Fraser Edwards Recruitment is currently recruiting for experienced Gas Engineers to work for our client in Hackney, East London.

The role will involve servicing, repairing, and maintaining gas appliances in social housing properties, including boilers, cookers, and fires.

We are looking for reliable and experienced engineers who can work independently, provide a good service to residents, and complete work to a high standard.

Main Duties

  • Service and repair gas boilers, cookers, fires, and other domestic gas appliances.
  • Carry out gas safety checks and routine maintenance.
  • Diagnose and fix faults efficiently.
  • Respond to routine and emergency repair requests.
  • Make sure all work is completed safely and in line with current gas regulations.
  • Complete job sheets and keep accurate records of work carried out.
  • Deal professionally and politely with residents and housing staff.
  • Report any additional repairs or issues that need attention.
  • Provide basic technical advice when required.

Requirements

  • Relevant Gas Engineer qualifications and certifications.
  • Good experience servicing and repairing domestic gas appliances.
  • Experience working on boilers, cookers, and fires.
  • Good knowledge of gas safety regulations.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Own transport to travel between properties.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
