About the Company:

Our client is a well-established national provider of essential textile, workwear and hygiene services. Operating a network of large processing and distribution sites, they collect used garments and linen from customers, professionally launder, repair and quality-check items, then deliver them back ready for reuse.

Their services support a broad range of sectors including healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, food production and facilities management. Customers rely on the business to keep employees safely equipped, maintain hygiene standards and ensure a consistent supply of clean, compliant workwear and textiles.Role Overview: General Manager

As General Manager, you will lead all activity at a high-volume processing and distribution site, ensuring the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of customer services. You will oversee the full journey from collection and sorting through to laundering, finishing, quality control and delivery.

This role would suit a visible, decisive and people-focused leader who has previously managed a sizeable manufacturing, logistics, processing or operational site.


Key Responsibilities:

· Lead a site of up 180 employees, delivering safety, quality, service and performance targets

· Take full P&L responsibility, managing cost, resource utilisation and commercial performance

· Ensure customers receive a reliable, high-quality and on-time collection, processing and delivery service

· Lead and develop a site leadership team, with five direct reports across operations, engineering, logistics and service

· Drive continuous improvement across production flow, labour utilisation, quality, turnaround times and site efficiency

· Ensure all legal, health and safety, GDPR and company compliance requirements are met

· Deliver functional KPI targets and hold managers accountable for performance

· Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and external stakeholders

· Support client meetings, service reviews, pricing discussions and account check-ins

Key Requirements:

· Proven experience leading a sizeable operational

· Manufacturing, processing, logistics or plant-based site experience is desirable

· Leading operations of 100+ employees

· Strong leadership background, with the ability to develop managers and engage a wider workforce

· Experience delivering KPI, cost, service and continuous improvement targets

· Commercially aware, with previous P&L responsibility or strong exposure to site financial performance

· Able to balance operational delivery with customer and commercial priorities

· A visible, hands-on and people-led management style

· Open to background; direct textile, laundry or workwear service experience is not essential


Package:

· Salary: £80,000

· Bonus: Up to 20%, based on site performance

· £6,000 car allowance
