Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Durham, Northallerton or Otley (on a hybrid basis)
Salary: £40,000 - £47,000pa depending on experience

Our client is looking for a motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding geotechnical team and contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across infrastructure, development, and environmental schemes.

With sites across the North, this person has the possibility to be based in their offices in Durham, Northallerton or Otley on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities

As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will:

• Plan, supervise, and undertake ground investigations.
• Log soil and rock samples to industry standards.
• Interpret geological and geotechnical data.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Support geotechnical design activities.
• Carry out site inspections and monitoring.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams.

Requirements

The successful Geotechnical Engineer will ideally possess the following:

• BSc in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline.
• MSc in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Relevant post-graduate industry experience.
• Ground investigation and technical reporting experience.
• Strong communication skills and a full UK driving licence.
