You’ll work with a broad range of geospatial datasets, identifying trends, assuring data quality and producing meaningful outputs for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and growing GIS team, contributing to business-as-usual analysis while also responding to ad-hoc and time-critical requests, often working closely with contractors and internal delivery teams.
Essential:
- Strong hands-on experience using Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience with Portal for ArcGIS and/or ArcGIS Online.
- Proven experience in GIS data management, quality assurance, validation and transformation.
- Good understanding of spatial and non-spatial data formats, GIS databases and coordinate reference systems.
- Experience managing complex geospatial datasets and data workflows.
- Strong understanding of data interoperability and GIS data standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ideally 5+ years of relevant GIS experience.
Desirable Experience
- Safe Software FME for data transformation and automation.
- Python scripting and GIS workflow automation.
- VertiGIS and web GIS solutions.
- CAD to GIS data integration and conversion.
- BIM processes and ISO 19650.
- Linear referencing and infrastructure asset data.

- Experience within rail, highways, utilities, energy, construction or major infrastructure projects.
This is an opportunity to join HS2's specialist GIS team and contribute to the delivery of one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes.
My client is open to candidates from a range of sectors, so previous rail experience is not essential. The priority is finding someone with strong practical ArcGIS Enterprise experience and a solid background in GIS data management.
The team is looking to appoint quickly, making this a great opportunity for someone keen to take the next step in their GIS career.
