Location: Based in London, or anywhere in the UK, with regular nationwide travel

Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking an exceptional Global Fire Safety Manager to act as the contract’s Fire Safety Lead across a global portfolio of sites.

Job Overview

This role combines strategic oversight of fire risk management activities with responsibility for ensuring service quality, consistency, and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements across a global portfolio.

The successful candidate will be a highly experienced fire safety professional, capable of managing senior stakeholders, collaborating with global and regional teams, and driving continual improvement within fire safety compliance programmes. The role will also support the identification of opportunities to enhance fire safety standards and develop additional service solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the contract’s Fire Safety Lead at both UK and global level.
  • Manage the delivery and performance of supplier-led fire risk assessments and fire safety inspections across the estate.
  • Review, audit, and quality assure fire risk assessment reports, processes, and compliance activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with service providers, clients, and key stakeholders globally.
  • Collaborate with regional managers and operational teams to ensure consistent fire safety standards and compliance delivery.
  • Support engineering and project teams in identifying and developing fire safety improvement works across the UK portfolio.
  • Analyse fire safety trends, emerging risks, and legislative changes, providing recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Lead or support fire safety incident investigations and provide regular reporting to global stakeholders.

Person Specification

  • Experience in global fire compliance, fire science, and Environmental Health & Safety.
  • Experience managing fire risk management programmes across complex, multi-site portfolios.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory and legal fire safety compliance requirements.
  • Experience developing and managing process documentation and internal control procedures.
  • Background in incident response and/or emergency management.
  • Experience in a management position within Engineering, Facilities Management, HSE, Quality, or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders and client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement).
  • Additional fire safety qualification such as NEBOSH Fire Safety or Level 3 Fire Safety qualification.
  • HSEQ Business Partner-level experience with additional fire safety expertise, or specialist Fire Engineering experience.
