We design and manufacture high-performance heat exchange units and cooling modules for leading OEMs across the off-highway, construction and agricultural sectors.

We are looking for a Graduate Production Engineer to join our Production Engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Engineering graduate to gain practical, hands-on experience within a busy manufacturing environment and develop the technical and commercial skills required for a successful career in Production Engineering.

Working alongside experienced Production Engineers and cross-functional teams, you will gain exposure to manufacturing processes, new product introduction, continuous improvement, engineering projects and problem-solving activities designed to improve safety, quality, productivity and operational performance.

Working Hours
Monday – Thursday:       8:30am – 5:00pm
Friday:                          8:30am – 1:30pm

The Role
As a Graduate Production Engineer, you will support the Production Engineering team across a broad range of manufacturing and engineering activities while developing your technical knowledge and practical experience.
You will work closely with Production, Design, Quality and Purchasing teams, providing engineering support to manufacturing operations and contributing to projects aimed at improving processes, productivity, quality and efficiency.
As your knowledge and experience develop, you will take increasing ownership of engineering activities and improvement projects, giving you a strong foundation for progression within Production Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes, equipment and factory layouts
  • Assist with new product and variant introductions from initial planning through to production
  • Support engineering projects and capital investment activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, PDCA and structured problem-solving techniques
  • Analyse manufacturing performance and identify opportunities to improve capacity, cycle times, OEE, quality and process capability
  • Support initiatives to reduce scrap, rework and manufacturing waste
  • Assist Production teams with the investigation and resolution of technical and process issues
  • Work collaboratively with Design, Quality, Production and Purchasing teams
  • Support engineering and manufacturing process changes in line with company procedures
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including PFMEAs, Control Plans and Operator Instructions
  • Collect and analyse production data to support engineering decisions and improvement activities
  • Promote high standards of Health & Safety and support the development of safe, efficient manufacturing processes
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone at the beginning of their engineering career who is enthusiastic about developing within a manufacturing environment.

You will ideally have:
  • A degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing, production engineering and continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative approach and the confidence to work with colleagues across different departments
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • An understanding of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of CAD software would be beneficial
  • An understanding of manufacturing quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, Six Sigma or Statistical Process Control would be advantageous, but full practical experience is not expected
Previous manufacturing experience gained through an industrial placement, internship, apprenticeship or university project would be beneficial, but is not essential.
