Account Coordinator – Graduate Opportunity
Location: West Bromwich
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with an early finish on Fridays
Working Pattern: Office-based initially, with the option to work from home 1 day per week after successful completion of probation
About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious and organised graduate to join an established manufacturing business in West Bromwich as an Account Coordinator.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to begin their career within a commercial and manufacturing environment. You will gain experience across customer service, order management, production and logistics, giving you a broad understanding of how a successful manufacturing business operates.
You will work closely with customers, the production team and transport providers to ensure orders progress smoothly from initial enquiry through to delivery.
The role offers genuine opportunities to develop your skills, take on additional responsibility and progress within the company as your experience grows.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Management
- Acting as a key point of contact for customers throughout the order process.
- Taking orders, handling enquiries and providing customers with regular updates.
- Building positive and professional customer relationships.
- Understanding customer requirements and helping to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Supporting the resolution of customer issues and ensuring concerns are dealt with promptly.
Order & Production Coordination
- Coordinating the movement of customer orders through the business.
- Liaising with the shop floor to monitor production progress and ensure jobs remain on schedule.
- Following up with production and transport teams to keep orders moving.
- Identifying potential delays and helping to prevent production bottlenecks.
- Prioritising workloads around customer requirements and agreed delivery dates.
- Maintaining accurate records and keeping internal systems updated.
The Ideal Candidate
This role is particularly suited to a graduate or early-career candidate who is looking to develop a long-term career within a manufacturing or commercial environment.
Previous experience in manufacturing or account coordination isn't essential. The company is looking for someone with the right attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn.
The successful candidate will be:
- A recent graduate or early-career professional with a genuine desire to develop.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicating with customers and colleagues.
- Proactive and comfortable following up with different departments.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Commercially minded and interested in understanding how a business operates.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and standard computer systems.
- Positive, professional and willing to learn.
A degree in Business, Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related subject would be advantageous, although graduates from other disciplines will also be considered.
