ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Materials Characterisation Technical Sales Specialist to join a leading supplier of analytical and testing equipment within laboratory and industrial environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven sales professional with technical knowledge of testing machines to develop new business across the UK. You will play a key role in expanding our client’s reach into sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, and engineering, providing tailored solutions to meet industry needs.

Working within a dynamic team, you will leverage your technical expertise and industry contacts to break into new accounts, supporting the growth of their market presence. This role offers a blend of technical engagement and strategic sales execution, with the flexibility to work remotely within the territory.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties as the Materials Characterisation Technical Sales Specialist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Drive sales growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities across the UK, focusing on industries requiring testing and materials characterisation solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their technical needs and presenting relevant testing machine solutions.
  • Act as a technical expert, providing product demonstrations, support, and knowledge to clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the wider sales and product specialist team to ensure solutions are aligned with customer requirements.
  • As the Materials Characterisation Technical Sales Specialist, you will continually enhance your industry and product knowledge to stay ahead of market trends.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Materials Characterisation Technical Sales Specialist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

  • A Degree or higher level in a relevant field (e.g., Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry).
  • Proven experience in technical sales, ideally within analytical or testing equipment sectors, with a strong understanding of testing machines used in manufacturing or engineering industries.
  • Established industry contacts and a good network within UK manufacturing, automotive, or engineering sectors.
  • A willingness to travel extensively across the UK to support business development.
