Our Client is looking for a passionate and motivated Graduate Structural Engineer to join its growing team in Bristol. You will initially work alongside and receive support from experienced senior engineers, while being given increasing responsibility for your own projects as your knowledge and confidence develop.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is an established engineering consultancy delivering civil and structural engineering solutions across a range of projects. As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will have the opportunity to take your academic and early industry experience and apply it to live engineering projects, with ongoing guidance from experienced members of the team.
You will be encouraged to develop professionally, take ownership of your work and gradually increase your level of responsibility.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As part of the structural engineering team, you will be involved in the design and delivery of projects from the early stages through to completion.
You will be:
·Supporting senior engineers with the structural design and delivery of projects.
·Producing structural calculations, designs and technical documentation.
·Working on a range of civil and structural engineering projects.
·Liaising directly with clients, architects and wider design teams.
·Supporting the preparation of drawings, specifications and engineering information.
·Attending project and design meetings where required.
·Assisting with the coordination of structural designs alongside other disciplines.
·Taking increasing responsibility for your own projects as your experience develops.
·Working closely with experienced engineers who will support your technical and professional development.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Our client is particularly interested in hearing from newly qualified or early-career engineers who are enthusiastic about developing within structural engineering.
To be considered for this Graduate Structural Engineer opportunity, you should have:
·A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
·A genuine interest in developing a career within structural engineering.
·Some previous experience within a civil or structural design office would be beneficial.
·A good understanding of structural engineering principles.
·Strong communication and organisational skills.
·The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative design team.
·A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
·Confidence communicating with colleagues, clients and other members of a project team.
Previous consultancy, placement, internship or industry experience would be advantageous, although applications are welcomed from graduates who can demonstrate strong technical knowledge and enthusiasm for the profession.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
The salary for this position is £28,000 - £35,000 per year dependent on experience and will reflect your existing technical knowledge and relevant industry exposure. There is also a bonus offered.
Alongside the salary, you will benefit from the opportunity to work closely with experienced engineers, gain hands-on project experience and develop both your technical and client-facing skills.
You will have the opportunity to progress from supporting senior engineers to taking greater ownership of projects and developing direct relationships with clients and design teams.
LOCATION AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT
The role is available from our client's offices in Bristol and is offered on a permanent, full-time basis.
