Working alongside experienced teachers and school leaders, you will play an important role in supporting students, improving learning outcomes and helping pupils build confidence both academically and personally.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to help students make progress.
  • Delivering targeted interventions and assisting with student development.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting effective classroom management.
  • Working with students who have additional learning needs, including SEND.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Taking part in wider school activities and contributing to the school community.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • A degree qualification (2:2 or above) in any subject area.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their education.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • A proactive, patient and adaptable approach.
  • The confidence to work independently as well as part of a wider school team.
  • An interest in progressing into teaching, educational psychology or a related education career (desirable but not essential).
