Location: Cambridge
Salary: £27,000/£30,000
Are you a recent Planning graduate looking to kick-start your career within an established planning team?
I'm currently recruiting for a Graduate Town Planner opportunity in Lincoln, offering the chance to work alongside experienced planners on a broad range of projects, while developing your professional and personal skills through a dedicated graduate training programme.
Responsibilities
- Assist with and prepare planning statements
- Assist with the preparation of planning appraisals
- Support the team on larger planning projects
- Prepare planning applications and appeals
- Assist clients throughout the planning process
- Appraise new development opportunities
- Undertake planning research and analysis
- Assist with the preparation of Design and Access Statements where required
- Manage a range of planning applications and monitor outcomes
- Undertake community engagement
- Attend planning committee meetings and public examinations
- Attend site visits and client meetings
- Assist with the preparation of fee proposals for projects
Requirements
- Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline, ideally RTPI accredited
- Demonstrated interest in planning
- Previous planning experience is desirable but not essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong motivation and ambition to develop a career in planning
- Transferable skills are welcomed, with consideration given to candidates who may not meet every listed requirement
