Groundworks Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to oversee groundworks operations across a new homes development site in Fife.


The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site teams, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong groundworks background who is confident leading teams and maintaining progress on site.
Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily groundworks activities on site.
  • Lead and manage site operatives, subcontractors and plant operators.
  • Ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently and in line with project programmes.
  • Monitor the quality of work and ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Carry out site inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Liaise with Site Managers, and other site personnel.
  • Organise labour, plant and materials to maximise productivity.
  • Complete site paperwork, inspections and daily records as required.
  • Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays.
  • Maintain a safe, tidy and organised working environment.


Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Groundworks Supervisor or Groundworks Foreman.
  • Strong background in groundworks and civil engineering projects.
  • Experience supervising site teams and coordinating daily works.
  • Good knowledge of drainage, foundations, kerbing, roads, concrete works, utilities and earthworks.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
  • CSCS Supervisor Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.


Desirable

  • First Aid at Work.
  • NRSWA Supervisor qualification.
  • CPCS or NPORS plant tickets.
  • Temporary Works awareness.
  • Experience working on commercial, residential and infrastructure projects.
