We are seeking a reliable and experienced Multi-Skilled Tradesperson with strong carpentry, painting, and decorating skills to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality remedial and finishing works following fire protection installation projects. This role involves repairing and reinstating areas affected by fire stopping and fire door installation works, ensuring all finishes are completed to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out remedial works following fire protection installations, including fire stopping and fire door projects.
- Repair and reinstate walls, ceilings, floors, door frames, skirting boards, architraves, and other building elements affected during installation works.
- Complete carpentry tasks, including fitting and repairing doors, frames, skirting, architraves, boxing-in, and other timber works.
- Prepare surfaces and carry out painting and decorating to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Patch plasterboard and make good damaged surfaces ready for decoration.
- Ensure all completed works match existing finishes wherever possible.
- Conduct minor maintenance and general building repairs as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment at all times.
- Communicate professionally with clients, tenants, site managers, and colleagues.
- Accurately complete job reports, photographs, and required documentation.
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
- CSCS Card.
- Proven experience in carpentry and general building maintenance.
- Strong painting and decorating skills with attention to detail.
- Experience carrying out remedial or reinstatement works following construction or maintenance activities.
- Ability to work from job sheets and follow instructions.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Experience working on fire protection or passive fire projects.
- Basic plastering or patch plastering experience.
- Knowledge of fire door standards and building regulations.
- Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, or other relevant health and safety training.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Takes pride in delivering work to a high standard.
- Positive attitude with a flexible approach to work.
- Professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
