Handyman in Bedford, Bedfordshire

EA Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Handyman / Multi-Skilled Operative with a strong carpentry background to work on a commercial refurbishment project.

The role will involve working through the final stages of the refurbishment, picking up carpentry snags, decorating snags and general finishing works, ensuring areas are completed to a high standard.

Duties will include:

• Picking up and completing carpentry snagging works

• Minor joinery and remedial works

• Completing decorating and finishing snags

• Filling, making good and touching up

• Adjusting doors, architraves, skirting and other timber finishes

• Assisting other trades where required

• Ensuring completed works are finished neatly and to a good standard

• Working safely and maintaining a tidy working environment

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS is essential
• Valid CSCS card

• Previous experience working as a Handyman, Multi-Skilled Operative or Carpenter

• Strong carpentry/joinery background

• Good decorating and making-good skills

• Able to tackle a variety of small remedial and finishing tasks

• Good eye for detail and quality

• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently
