We are seeking an experienced Head of Health & Safety to lead safety initiatives across a major London bus operator. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to shape safety strategy, influence operational teams, and ensure the highest standards of safety are maintained throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for health and safety across all London sites and garages.
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and improvement initiatives aligned with legislative standards.
• Build strong relationships across operational, engineering, and leadership teams to promote safety excellence.
• Lead investigations into incidents, ensuring lessons learned drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor safety performance, identify trends, and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification in health & safety.
• Significant experience leading health and safety in a large, operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Excellent communication, influencing skills, and a visible, hands-on leadership style.
