Head of Pricing and Commercial Finance

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the development and review of pricing strategies for business opportunities of varying complexity.
• Create robust cost models, financial forecasts, and commercial assumptions to support proposals and business cases.
• Partner with key stakeholders to develop commercially viable and competitive solutions.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, policies, and governance requirements while adapting pricing approaches to business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and value creation.
• Support governance and approval processes, including financial reviews and senior stakeholder engagement.
• Contribute to commercial discussions, negotiations, and client clarification activities where required.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development support to build a high-performing pricing and commercial finance team.
• Develop strategic sourcing, cost optimisation, and commercial assumptions to support business objectives.
• Assess workforce, operational, and organisational considerations to ensure commercially sustainable solutions.

The Ideal Candidate

• Extensive experience in pricing, commercial finance, financial modelling, and business case development within a complex commercial environment.
• Proven ability to lead and influence multi-functional stakeholders across a wide range of business initiatives and strategic projects.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate risks, identify opportunities, and develop financially sound solutions.
• Demonstrated experience leading, developing, and mentoring high-performing teams while driving continuous improvement.
• Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong understanding of financial governance, commercial decision-making, and performance management frameworks.
• Adaptable and strategic in approach, with a focus on innovation, process optimisation, and delivering sustainable business outcomes.
