Head of Product Regulation and Project Lead
Enterprise Recruitment Ltd
Based in Tring, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for product regulation, ensuring compliance with international standards across global sites. Working closely with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams, you will interpret EU, UL and international regulatory requirements, embedding compliance into product design in a practical and commercially balanced way.
Alongside regulatory leadership, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating cross-functional product development projects. Acting as the central point of coordination, you will develop project plans, establish timelines, monitor progress, facilitate regular project reviews and ensure key deliverables are achieved. You'll work across multiple disciplines, identifying risks, escalating issues where necessary and helping projects meet quality, cost and delivery objectives.
You will also have the autonomy to develop new compliance processes and enhance existing global regulatory frameworks, ensuring best practice is embedded throughout the business. As the company's regulatory expert, you will oversee technical documentation, support product risk assessments, maintain compliance with CE, UKCA, RoHS and REACH requirements, and act as the primary interface with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders. You'll also lead investigations where compliance issues arise and provide coaching and guidance to colleagues across the organisation.
The position requires a strong electromechanical engineering background, ideally gained within a high-tech manufacturing environment, together with proven experience in product regulation and compliance. Equally important is your ability to coordinate complex projects, influence stakeholders and build collaborative relationships across international teams. Experience leading cross-functional engineering or new product introduction projects would be highly advantageous.
This role would suit someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with project leadership, taking ownership of both regulatory compliance and the successful delivery of innovative engineering projects. In return, you'll join a business investing heavily in new technology, offering a flexible working environment with hybrid working, the option of a compressed working week, and genuine autonomy to shape processes and drive continuous improvement.
