Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Head of Security Services to provide strategic direction, leadership and innovation across the security function.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping the future of Security Services across a complex, multi-site environment. The successful candidate will act as the subject matter expert for security, establishing a clear vision, purpose and long-term roadmap for the service while driving continuous improvement and organisational capability.
The position is highly strategic in nature, focusing on the development, growth and evolution of security services rather than day-to-day operational management. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the Head of Security Services will provide trusted guidance, influence key decisions and ensure security remains aligned with wider business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Security Services function, strategy and innovation across the business.
- Provide leadership to the Security Services leadership team, driving engagement, accountability and performance.
- Develop and implement an integrated security strategy, governance model and multi-year roadmap.
- Oversee security services across man guarding, security systems and keyholding operations.
- Maintain enterprise threat, vulnerability and security risk assessments, ensuring effective controls are in place.
- Lead major security incidents, investigations, crisis response activities and executive reporting.
- Work closely with commercial teams to support security-related bids and new business opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement, capability development, security awareness and a strong security culture across the organisation.
Person Specification
- Senior-level security experience overseeing complex, multi-site security operations with a broad stakeholder base.
- Proven ability to lead, influence and develop senior teams within a security environment.
- Experience shaping security strategy, governance frameworks and long-term service improvement plans.
- Strong understanding of security risk management, threat assessment and business resilience.
- Ability to provide trusted advice and guidance to executives, clients and operational leaders.
- Commercial awareness and experience supporting business growth initiatives.
- Progressive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach to security leadership.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical implementation.
- SIA qualification or equivalent security accreditation.
