Position:  Head Of Service - Asc (Executive Management)
Location: Fishergate, Preston, PR1 8RE
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 3+ Months - 2/3 days in the office
Working Hours: 37 hours per week – 09:00 – 17:00
Pay Rate: PAYE: £ 432.83  per day

Job Responsibilities

• Lead Learning Disability, Autism (LDA), and Disability Services across Adult Social Care.

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to senior service managers and service managers.

• Drive service improvement and ensure high-quality, person-centred service delivery.

• Lead performance, governance, and compliance across the service.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve service objectives.

• Support and oversee transition services where applicable.

• Manage resources, budgets, and workforce planning effectively.

• Attend Lancashire offices at least 2 days per week.

Person Specification

• Significant experience as a Head of Service or in a senior leadership role within Adult Social Care.

• Strong background in Learning Disability, Autism (LDA), and Disability Services.

• Experience managing senior managers and leading large, complex teams.

• Knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation, safeguarding, and best practice.

• Experience with transition services is highly desirable.

• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to work on-site in Lancashire for at least 2 days per week.
