We are working with a specialist Civil Engineering Contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Coordinator based in Bedford. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to strengthen their Health and Safety team with an ambitious individual eager to develop their career.

Reporting to the Senior QHSE Manager, the role offers exposure to a broad range of Health and Safety activities across multiple sites, providing excellent opportunities for ongoing development and career progression within a growing organisation.

No Prior Health and Safety experience is required. The client is willing to take on a candidate without this but with an interest in developing a career in Health and Safety and the right attitude to grow and learn.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Coordinator will include:

• Assisting with the upkeep and continual improvement of Health and Safety management systems and compliance standards.
• Conducting regular site visits to support inspections, audits, and the gathering of Health and Safety information.
• Helping to promote a positive Health and Safety culture by communicating key initiatives and updates across the business.
• Supporting the planning and delivery of Health and Safety training and awareness programmes.

The successful Health and Safety Coordinator will have:

• Ideally possess, or be working towards, a recognised Health and Safety qualification.
• A genuine enthusiasm for building a career within Health and Safety.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels.
