An established and highly regarded organisation within the construction and built environment sector is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join its growing team.


This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive health and safety professional to play a key role in supporting operational teams, promoting a positive safety culture, and ensuring high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across a range of projects.


The Role


Reporting to the relevant Health & Safety Manager, you will work closely with site and operational teams to provide practical, professional advice and support on all aspects of health and safety.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Conducting regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
  • Providing practical health and safety advice to site management and project teams.
  • Supporting the implementation and continual improvement of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Assisting with the preparation and review of RAMS and other health and safety documentation.
  • Delivering toolbox talks, briefings and health and safety training where required.
  • Monitoring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Promoting a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.
  • Building strong working relationships with project teams, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.


About You


To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:


  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor or similar role within construction, civil engineering or a related environment.
  • A recognised health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
  • A strong understanding of current health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage people at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to health and safety.
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel between project locations where required.
