EXPERIENCED HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR

Strong Health & Safety skills required for an operation within the waste management & recycling sector

TITLE: Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor

SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000 + pension

LOCATION: West Midlands – Cradley Heath and surrounding areas

YOU WILL HAVE BEEN AN:

HSEQ Advisor, SHEQ Advisor, HSE Advisor, Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor, Compliance & HSEQ Advisor, EHSQ Advisor (Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality), Operations Manager, HSEQ Operations Manager, SHEQ Operations Manager, Health & Safety Operations Manager, Environmental Compliance Operations Manager, Operations & Compliance Manager, Operations & HSEQ Manager, Site Operations Manager, or Recycling Operations Manager.

YOU MAY HAVE WORKED IN:

Heavy industry, manufacturing, engineering, waste management, recycling, or other industrial environments.

ROLE: Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor

•    Previous experience in an HSEQ, HSE, SHEQ, or similar compliance-focused role.
•    Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality legislation.
•    Experience conducting internal audits and supporting external audits.
•    Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organisation.
•    Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.

EXPERIENCE: Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor

•    Experience working within heavy industry, manufacturing, waste management, recycling, engineering, or other industrial environments.
•    Previous experience working with or alongside the Environment Agency (EA) or Natural Resources Wales.
•    Knowledge of environmental permitting regulations.
•    IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH General Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
•    WAMITAB qualification, or willingness to obtain one.
•    Experience maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
