I’m working with a specialist industrial property management company looking for a Health and Safety CDM Advisor to join them as they continue to grow. Focusing on both new site acquisition and refurbishment and development on their existing sites, they provide a flexible approach to warehousing seeking to design solutions to meet their tenant’s needs.

You will be expected to coordinate health and safety compliance across the property portfolio and support the delivery of daily routine maintenance, refurbishment and construction projects up to £3 million. The role ensures compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM), company policies and all relevant health and safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate health and safety compliance across all property projects and facilities.
• Supporting the Client’s duties under the CDM Regulations 2015.
• Preparing and maintain Pre-Construction Information and Health & Safety Files and review Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Carrying out site inspections, audits and contractor compliance checks.
• Monitoring contractor competence and performance.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Providing health and safety advice to facilities managers, contractors and operational teams.
• Promoting continuous improvement and a positive safety culture, and liaise with the HSE where required.


They are looking for someone with specific experience in contractor health and safety within a construction, property or facilities management environment in addition to coordinating safety and compliance in refurbishment and maintenance projects by practical and safe means.

Key competencies include:

• NEBOSH General Certificate and Construction Certificate.
• Detailed knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
• Full UK Driving Licence
• SMSTS or SSSTS
• TechIOSH/Cert IOSH membership
• Knowledge of contractor management and statutory compliance
• Experience working for a contractor and writing and coordination RAMS
