This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of health and safety across a premium abattoir operation supplying high-quality produce to M&S and estate restaurants. You'll work within a respected business that prioritises quality, sustainability and animal welfare over high-volume production, with accommodation provided as part of the package.

Your responsibilities as Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor
  • Lead and maintain health, safety and environmental systems across the abattoir operation
  • Carry out audits, inspections and risk assessments, ensuring full legislative compliance
  • Investigate incidents and implement preventative actions to improve site safety
  • Deliver training and guidance to promote best practice across operational teams
  • Support compliance with food safety, animal welfare and regulatory standards
  • Work with management and external regulators to drive continuous improvement
 
What we're looking for in a Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor
  • NEBOSH Diploma qualification
  • Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, environmental compliance and risk management
  • Experience within meat processing, food manufacturing or another highly regulated production environment
  • Understanding of HACCP, food safety systems and relevant industry standards
  • Full UK driving licence
 
Working hours
25.5 hours per week across three days.
