An established and growing business within the temporary buildings and accommodation sector is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead safety, compliance and culture across the organisation.

A hands-on role with responsibility for developing the Health & Safety strategy, ensuring legal compliance and driving continuous improvement across operational sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of the safety agenda and make a real impact on compliance, performance and culture within a growing organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve Health & Safety policies, procedures and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Manage risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations.
  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture and employee engagement.
  • Deliver Health & Safety training, advice and guidance to managers and employees.
  • Monitor and report Health & Safety performance to the executive team.
  • Identify risks and implement practical improvements across the business.

About you

  • NEBOSH Diploma, Degree in Safety Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Proven experience leading the safety agenda and influencing organisational culture.
  • Experience in construction, temporary accommodation, plant hire or a related industry is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Proactive, practical and hands-on approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.

Agency notes

This is a full-time permanent role, working 37 ½ hours Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00, and is available to start as soon as possible upon appointment. The client has not notified us of any specific Health & Safety Risks. The notice period is 1 week during probation, rising to 1 month thereafter and is paid on a monthly, salaried basis. Salary range is £60-65K and will be dependent on experience. You will be entitled to a fully expensed company car (Telsa Model 3 Long Range or similar) + 25 days holiday (3 reserved for Christmas shutdown) + bank holidays + pension (6% employer / 3% employee). You will be based at Measham 2-3 days per week with travel to sites across England.
