HGV Class 1 & ADR  Yard Marshall   Location: West Thurrock, Essex   Salary: £47,959.60 per annum   Shift Pattern: 4 On, 4 Off   Start Time: Around 5:00pm   Overtime: £27.14 per hour after 9 hours  
 
Pin Point Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Yard Marshall – HGV Class 1 & ADR to join an established industrial site in West Thurrock.
 
 
This is a key role within the Transport team, responsible for managing the safe and efficient movement and parking of tractors and trailers around the site, while supporting the smooth turnaround of drivers arriving to deliver and collect loads.
 
 
The working hours can vary depending on business requirements, with shifts generally starting at around 5:00pm. Full details of the shift pattern and role will be discussed during the interview.
 
  The Role  
·         Managing and coordinating the parking of tractors and trailers around the West Thurrock site.
·         Supporting the efficient turnaround of drivers delivering and loading at the site.
·         Acting as a key point of contact for company and contract drivers starting their shifts.
·         Ensuring site safety procedures and transport policies are followed.
·         Reporting any non-conformities, issues or safety concerns to the Transport Team.
·         Monitoring vehicle movements and ensuring safe working practices are maintained.
·         Monitoring the use of 96% sulphuric acid by the Ferric Sulphate plant and liaising with the Transport Office as required.
·         Pre-loading backloads as directed by the Transport Office.
·         Operating a vacuum tanker to clear specific bunds when required and as directed by the Transport Team.
·         Supporting the Transport Team with general yard and operational duties.
·         Working closely with drivers, the Transport Office and other site personnel to ensure the smooth running of operations.
·         Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with transport, ADR, company and health & safety requirements.
 
  About You  
·         A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
·         A valid ADR licence.
·         Good knowledge of ADR regulations and compliance.
·         Previous experience within transport, logistics, haulage or a similar industrial environment.
·         Experience working around HGVs, tankers and industrial sites.
·         Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
·         The ability to work effectively with drivers, colleagues and other site personnel.
·         A strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
·         A professional and responsible approach to working in a busy industrial environment.
·         The ability to work independently and as part of a wider Transport team.
