HGV Class 1 Drivers – Goole & Surrounding Areas

Driving Force Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a range of driving opportunities in and around the Goole area.

We work with a variety of transport and logistics companies, meaning we regularly have Class 1 driving work available across different types of operations, including days, nights, tramping and ongoing or temporary assignments.

Whether you have experience in general haulage, trunking, curtainsiders, containers, tipper work, multidrop or other areas of HGV driving, we would like to hear from you.

The Work

Depending on the assignment, Class 1 drivers may be required to carry out:

  • General haulage deliveries and collections
  • Trunking and depot-to-depot work
  • Curtainsider and tautliner work
  • Palletised and general freight
  • Multidrop deliveries
  • Container and port work
  • Tipper and aggregate work
  • Distribution and logistics work
  • Nights and/or day driving
  • Tramping and occasional nights out
  • Customer deliveries and collections
  • Load security and vehicle safety checks
  • Completion of delivery paperwork and PODs
  • Liaising with transport teams and customers
  • Working within drivers' hours, WTD and tachograph regulations

The exact duties, hours and vehicle type will depend on the assignment.

Pay & Hours

  • Competitive rates of pay from £17.06ph - £23.00ph
  • Day and night work available
  • Monday to Friday and weekend opportunities
  • Temporary, ongoing and ad-hoc work
  • Local and regional driving opportunities
  • Weekly pay
  • Work available in and around Goole and the surrounding areas

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Valid Driver CPC
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience
  • Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
  • Reliable and professional attitude
  • Good timekeeping
  • Ability to work safely and independently

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous: general haulage, curtainsider, trunking, containers, tipper, multidrop, distribution or other Class 1 operations.
