About the Role
Kilnbridge are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver with a valid CPC ticket to join our team, specialising in the transport of general plant, specialist machinery, and abnormal loads. This is a varied and hands‑on role that requires flexibility, professionalism, and a strong customer approach.
As the HGV Class 1 Driver you will closely within a small, supportive transport team, handling a wide range of equipment while maintaining high safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- HGV Transporting plant, machinery, and occasional abnormal loads
- Safe loading, securing, and unloading of equipment
- Completing daily HGV vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Working flexibly across different HGV vehicles classifications
- Providing excellent customer service on client sites
- Accurately completing all relevant paperwork
- Supporting wider team tasks as required
- Some night-out work expected (with advance notice)
What We’re Looking For
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC ticket
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within relevant vehicle classifications
- Previous plant-based or specialist transport experience (desirable)
- Strong customer-facing skills
- Ability to work well within a small team
- Flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to varied duties
