HGV Class 1 Driver

Pay Rate: £170 per day

Top Tier Recruitment are currently recruiting for a number of HGV Class 1 Drivers on behalf of a well-established transport and logistics provider based in the Southampton area.

Our client has built a strong reputation within the container and general haulage sector, providing reliable transport solutions to a wide range of customers across the UK. Due to continued growth and increased customer demand, they are now looking to expand their driving team with professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy operation offering consistent work, modern vehicles, and a supportive transport team.

The Role

• Container work from Southampton Port
• Collect containers and deliver to customer locations throughout the UK
• Return to depot to collect and load the following day's container
• Typical shifts between 10 and 14 hours per day
• Monday to Friday work
• 06:00 start times
• Daily interaction with transport planners and customers
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and professionally

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience
• Maximum of 3 penalty points
• Good understanding of driver hours and working time regulations
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A professional and safety-conscious approach to work

Desirable

• Previous container experience preferred but not essential
• Port card advantageous but not required

Pay Information

Please note that payment for this role will be made via PAYE through an umbrella company. Full details will be discussed during the registration process.
