Smart Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a busy operation based in Cinderford.

The depot is based in Cinderford; however, this role involves carrying out household waste and recycling collections in the Hereford area.

Working Hours

• Hours between 06:00am - 15:00pm

The Role

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious HGV Class 2 Driver to join our Household Waste & Recycling team. You will be responsible for collecting household waste and recycling across the Hereford area, working alongside a team to provide an efficient and high-quality service to local communities. This is a physically active role that requires excellent driving skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to health and safety.

Typical routes will involve drivers responsible for loading and unloading cages at each location while providing a professional level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle.
• Collecting household waste and recycling
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Provide excellent customer service at customer sites.
• Adhere to all driver regulations, health and safety procedures, and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of road safety regulations.
• Physically fit, as the role involves loading and moving waste and recycling containers.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• No DR, DD, IN or CD endorsements.
