Hgv Fitter/Plant Mechanic

Our client is looking for an experienced HGV Fitter/Plant Mechanic. You will be required to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across HGV's and Trailers.

• Complete inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance

• Diagnose and repair complex faults 

• Repair/replace engines, transmissions, brakes, 

• Attend breakdowns - phone diagnostics, roadside and customer sites

• Maintain accurate job sheets, inspection reports and parts records

• Communicate clearly on repair progress, timeframes and parts needed

• Follow all company safety procedures

Suitable candidates will have:

• 4+ years’ experience as an HGV and/or plant mechanic

• IRTEC certification

• Welding/fabrication skills

• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, LOLER and hooklift (RORO) equipment

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Willing to learn and develop

• Positive, proactive approach

• High attention to detail

• Team player with a desire to grow
