💰 Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per year

📍 Location: Mitcham, South London

🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:30pm

Our client is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their modern in-house workshop, maintaining a mixed fleet of HGVs and trailers.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a standalone role, taking ownership of the servicing, maintenance and repair of the fleet, while receiving support from external contractors for specialist and overflow work.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HGVs and trailers
• Carry out PMIs and safety inspections
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and complete preventative maintenance
• Ensure compliance with DVSA and Operator Licence requirements
• Maintain accurate workshop records
• Promote high workshop health and safety standards
• Liaise with the transport department regarding parts and outsourced work

🔧 Requirements

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or LGV Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent qualification
• Good understanding of DVSA regulations
• Ability to work independently
• Gas Certificate
• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence desirable but not essential
