We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple sites nationwide for the position of HGV Technician in Westbury, Wiltshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified and experienced HGV Technician to join a busy and professional workshop environment.

Duties of a HGV Technician:
  • Perform major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs)
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance services
  • Maintain workshop inventory and ensure cleanliness
  • Assist in diagnosing vehicle faults and planning repairs with repair teams
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs using Keyloop/Kerridge software
  • Complete warranty claims and escalate issues as necessary
  • Conduct wheel alignments and tyre fitting
  • Complete customer documentation efficiently, adhering to time schedules
  • Ensure all work is carried out to high standards, contributing to team objectives
Requirements of a HGV Technician:
  • IMI/NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • At least 1 to 2 years of practical post-qualification experience
  • Strong team player with a commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
  • Motivated to meet targets and perform to high standards
  • An active HGV Class 1 or 2 licence is highly desirable but not essential
