Duties of the HGV Technician:
  • Conduct vehicle inspections, routine servicing, and fault diagnostics
  • Perform repairs across all aspects of commercial vehicles
  • Book vehicles into the workshop and ensure timely completion of work
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and present them accordingly
  • Assist with roadside breakdowns and recovery operations
  • liaise with the workshop team to optimise workflow and customer satisfaction
  • Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and promptly
  • Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify standards are met
Requirements of the HGV Technician:
  • Qualified HGV Technician with City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three or equivalent
  • Proven experience working with commercial vehicles
  • Full UK driving licence; HGV licence is advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the motor trade sector
  • Positive attitude, motivated, and dependable work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain high standards under pressure
