We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable multi-franchise commercial vehicle dealer group, for an HGV Technician to join their workshop in Swindon, Wiltshire. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals to advance their careers.

Duties of a HGV Technician:
  • Perform all service and maintenance tasks to the highest standards within manufacturer timeframes
  • Conduct diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions efficiently and accurately
  • Support colleagues with technical issues and innovations
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and procedures
  • Complete documentation of diagnosis, repairs, safety inspections, and service activities
  • Maintain professionalism in all work-related activities to preserve customer satisfaction and retention
  • Adhere to safety standards and best practices at all times
  • Optional roadside call-out tasks with associated benefits
Requirements of a HGV Technician:
  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Several years’ post-qualification experience preferred
  • Ability to perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs
  • Strong team player with a commitment to quality workmanship
  • Motivated to meet targets and work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An active HGV driving licence is advantageous but not essential
