- As an HGV Technician, service, maintain and repair HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and technical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Carry out vehicle inspections and identify defects
- Complete repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and company standards
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and complete remedial work
- Accurately complete job cards, inspection sheets and relevant paperwork
- Identify and report additional repair requirements
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe workshop environment
- Work effectively with the wider workshop team
- Follow health and safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong knowledge of HGV servicing, maintenance and repair
- Experience diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, organised and safety-conscious approach
- Full UK driving licence advantageous; relevant HGV licence entitlements are also beneficial
