Salary: £48,000

Hours: 45 hours per week | Monday-Friday

Shifts: Early & Late Rotation

The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician to join a successful commercial vehicle dealership based in Dudley, West Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3 qualified HGV Technician looking for a stable, long-term career within a professional workshop environment. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of HGVs and commercial vehicles to manufacturer and DVSA standards.

The role would suit an experienced HGV Mechanic or Truck Technician who enjoys fault finding, problem solving and delivering high-quality workmanship within a busy workshop team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and technical faults
• Complete inspections, safety checks and MOT preparation
• Carry out defect repairs and preventative maintenance
• Work to manufacturer and DVSA standards
• Complete job cards, repair records and workshop documentation
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
• Attend technical training to maintain product knowledge
• Support customer requirements through efficient repairs

Requirements

To be considered for this HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic role, you will need:

Essential:

• Level 3 HGV qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, IMI or equivalent)
• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK manual driving licence
• Ability to work effectively within a busy workshop

Desirable:

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
• Main dealership experience
• Experience with commercial vehicle diagnostic equipment
