We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of HGV Trailer Technician in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The successful individual will join a reputable team dedicated to maintaining and repairing heavy vehicle trailers to the highest standards. Duties of the HGV Trailer Technician:
  • Conduct routine servicing, inspections, and PMI checks on HGV trailers
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including braking, suspension, and bodywork systems
  • Replace and adjust components as needed
  • Ensure all work complies with DVSA standards and guidelines
  • Accurately document maintenance and repair activities
  • Collaborate with the wider workshop team to maintain operational vehicle fleet efficiency
Requirements of the HGV Trailer Technician:
  • Previous experience as a Trailer Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, Fitter, or similar heavy vehicle role
  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification or equivalent practical experience
  • IRTEC certification desirable, or willingness to achieve certification
  • Proactive approach with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
  • Pride in delivering high standards of repair and maintenance
