About the role…
We are looking for an experienced and motivated High and Low Voltage Training Assessor to join our growing training team within Ipsum
In this role, you will deliver engaging, high-quality training and assessment across High and Low Voltage Cable Jointing programmes, ensuring learners achieve industry-recognised qualifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance. You will work closely with learners, quality assurance teams and colleagues to provide an exceptional learning experience, supporting candidates throughout their development journey.
As a High and Low Voltage Training Assessor you will…
Deliver High and Low Voltage Cable Jointing training programmes to learners from the electrical distribution industry.
Prepare, plan and deliver training sessions that meet awarding body and industry standards.
Assess learners in accordance with qualification specifications and examination assessment strategies.
Conduct practical and knowledge-based assessments against agreed occupational standards.
Examine learner evidence, including portfolios, workplace evidence and applications for unit exemptions or equivalence where applicable.
Provide clear, constructive feedback to support learner development and achievement.
Support invigilators and ensure examinations are conducted in line with industry and awarding organisation requirements.
Maintain accurate learner records and assessment documentation.
Attend standardisation meetings, quality reviews and assessor development activities.
Work closely with the Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to maintain compliance and quality standards.
Ensure all training and assessment activities are delivered in accordance with health and safety legislation and company procedures.
Maintain impartiality throughout the assessment process, declaring any actual or potential conflicts of interest.
Keep up to date with industry developments, regulations and best practice within the electrical distribution sector.
About you…?
Level 3 Qualification (or equivalent) in an electrical discipline.
Proven industry experience within the electrical distribution sector.
Strong knowledge of High and Low Voltage Cable Jointing practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Good organisational and planning abilities.
Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Full UK Driving Licence.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality.
Desirable
Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent).
Level 3 Assessor Qualification
Previous experience delivering technical training or workplace assessments.
Experience working with awarding organisations and regulated qualifications.
