Location: Barnet, London, UK
Salary: £100–£120 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, term time only
Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and the responsibilities of the placement.

About the Role
Teach Now is recruiting an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Barnet from September 2026.
This full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You will deliver targeted interventions, provide classroom cover and help pupils with additional learning or special educational needs access the curriculum.
The school is looking for a confident, adaptable HLTA who can build positive relationships with pupils and step into whole-class teaching when required.

Key Responsibilities
• Delivering planned lessons during teacher absence or PPA time
• Leading small-group interventions in English and mathematics
• Supporting pupils with SEN and additional learning needs
• Preparing resources and adapting activities for different abilities
• Promoting positive behaviour and productive classroom routines
• Recording pupil progress and sharing feedback with teachers
• Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and support staff

Requirements
Applicants should have:
• HLTA status, a recognised Level 3 qualification or substantial relevant experience
• Recent experience working in a UK primary school
• Confidence supporting or covering classes across KS1 and KS2
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• A clear commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• The right to work in the UK
