Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant ready to take on greater classroom responsibility?
Teach Now is working with an inclusive primary school in Harrow that requires a skilled HLTA for a full-time temporary position beginning in September. The successful candidate will work across KS1 and KS2, supporting quality-first teaching, delivering interventions and providing reliable class cover.
This Higher Level Teaching Assistant opportunity would suit someone who enjoys variety and can move confidently between whole-class teaching, small-group work and individual SEN support.
- Providing planned class cover across the primary age range
- Delivering focused literacy, phonics and numeracy interventions
- Supporting pupils who require additional help to remain engaged
- Adapting learning materials to meet individual needs
- Helping teachers assess progress and identify next steps
- Establishing calm, consistent expectations for behaviour
- Supporting the inclusion of pupils with SEN
- HLTA status, a Level 3 qualification or equivalent school-based experience
- At least six months of recent primary classroom experience
- Experience leading lessons, groups or interventions
- Knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
- A patient, professional and flexible approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The right to work in the UK
