Working Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Salary: £36,996.99 per annum (as advertised)

Reeson Education is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and successful primary school in Tooting, Wandsworth, from January 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who enjoys working across different primary year groups and has experience leading whole-class teaching, delivering PPA cover and supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and the wider school team to deliver high-quality learning experiences and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

• Deliver regular PPA cover and lead whole-class teaching across primary year groups.

• Provide additional classroom cover during teacher absences when required.

• Support teaching and learning through individual and small-group interventions.

• Work collaboratively with class teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons.

• Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.

• Promote positive behaviour, engagement and pupil independence.

• Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.

• Contribute to a nurturing and inclusive whole-school environment.

The school is looking for someone who:

• Holds a relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.

• Has proven experience leading whole-class teaching within a primary school.

• Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and EYFS framework.

• Is confident delivering lessons across different primary year groups.

• Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Is enthusiastic, creative and able to motivate and inspire pupils.

• Has strong communication and organisational skills.

• Works effectively as part of a collaborative school team.

• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.

• Is available to work full-time from January 2027.
