Supply Heroes are recruiting on behalf of a high-achieving Secondary School and Sixth Form in the Stratford-upon-Avon area for an experienced History Teacher to cover a period of staff absence.

This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity starting on 25th September 2026 and continuing until approximately 9th November 2026. The school is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging History specialist with previous experience teaching A-Level History, who can quickly establish positive relationships and maintain high academic standards.

The Role

• Full-time History Teacher position
• Teaching History across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and A-Level
• Planning, delivering and assessing engaging History lessons
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement
• Supporting students in their preparation for examinations
• Working collaboratively with a successful Humanities department
• Start date: 25th September 2026
• End date: Approximately 9th November 2026

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching History within UK secondary schools
• Proven experience delivering A-Level History
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for History
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to engage and inspire learners of all abilities
• Reliable, professional and adaptable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
