A welcoming primary school in Lambeth, near Oval, is looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join its Early Years team for an immediate start.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Early Years practitioner who is confident taking the lead with learning, supporting classroom routines and working across Nursery and Reception.

As an Early Years HLTA, you will work closely with the EYFS team while taking responsibility for delivering planned learning and activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading lessons and structured learning activities across EYFS
• Supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
• Leading phonics, early literacy, numeracy and communication activities
• Working with individuals and small groups to support progress
• Creating engaging, play-based learning opportunities
• Supporting children with different developmental and learning needs
• Establishing positive routines and managing behaviour effectively
• Observing children's learning and contributing to assessment
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider Early Years team
• Helping create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment

The school is looking for an Early Years HLTA who is confident leading a class or group and can hit the ground running.

You will ideally have:

• A Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience working in Nursery, Reception or EYFS
• Experience leading lessons or structured learning activities
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Confidence supporting phonics, early literacy and numeracy
• Good behaviour management and classroom organisation
• A nurturing, patient and engaging approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Previous HLTA experience would be advantageous, but experienced Level 3 Early Years practitioners who are ready to take on additional responsibility will also be considered.
