Job Title: HLTA Teacher 

Location: Sheffield 

Start Date: September Start 

Salary: £110 - £140 per day

TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a confident and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school. This can be a temporary or long-term opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

We are looking for a proactive HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupils' learning and development, particularly within Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will be confident supporting whole-class learning, delivering planned interventions, covering lessons where required, and working closely with teaching staff to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

• Early Career Teachers are also welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience working as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant or an experienced Teaching Assistant within a primary school
•  A Level 4 Teaching Assistant qualification (or working towards one)
•  A strong knowledge and understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
•  Previous experience supporting children with SEND
• Excellent classroom management skills and the confidence to lead a class when required
• Experience delivering learning activities, including contributing to lesson preparation, selecting appropriate resources, and delivering planned elements of lessons
•  Substantial experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school setting
• Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
• A positive, flexible and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning
